I am excited to offer a new free printable to all of you today! Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I always love doing Thanksgiving type crafts or activities.
When I was working as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the schools, we always had a writing activity each year that had to do with being thankful.
I am really excited about this printable! I have designed it for ages prek-3rd grade! The focus is on writing and pre-writing lines.
Thanksgiving Themed Writing Activity Packet For Ages Preschool-3rd Grade
First up are the pages for 1st-3rd graders.
I have also included a “Thank You” card that can be cut out, folded in half and is blank so a note can be written inside.
For KG age I have included sentences that can be traced and a line below for them to either copy the sentence or come up with one of their own. There are two full pages like this, I have a preview of the first one for you.
I have also included a word bank page so if your child needs some ideas on what to write or things they are thankful for, they can refer to the word bank page to get them started!
For Prek, the focus is on pre-writing lines of circles and diagonal lines.
At the very end, there is also a coloring page.
I hope you enjoy the printable for your little ones this Thanksgiving season! We have so many things to be thankful for, God has blessed each of us so much each and every day.
Teaching our children the importance of thankfulness to others and to God is such an important life skill. And this printable is also a fun way to get some handwriting practice in over the holiday season.
